Stocks — ticker search

GET /v1/stocks/search returns ranked match rows for a free-form ticker or company-name query (2–32 chars). One row per match; priced per row at $0.005 with a per-call ceiling of $0.10 (20 matches).

Useful for: agent-driven discovery flows, “what is the ticker for…?” lookups, building autocomplete UIs over the equity universe.

Data is refreshed continuously and cached at the edge for one hour. Because the query surface is unbounded, this endpoint has no bundled cold fallback — if the live feed, the edge cache, and the KV last-known-good store are all unavailable, the endpoint returns 404 and settles at zero. All other paths return rows with a freshness envelope and settle at least the $0.10 per-call minimum, whichever tier served them.
